Hi All,
My Grandfather Fred Jones, mother Ellen Jones (nee May) was born 26 Henry Street Pilkington in August 1887. Next street over was Edward Street and as I understand, Stand Hall, part of the Stanley (Earls of Derby) Empire was situated not far from these locations.
Would it be fair to assume that the Earls of Derby (in particular 15th Earl of Derby) may have been the owner/Landlord of the above properties?
I would appreciate any assistance with this query.
