Victoria Theatre Bury
Hello.
I am researching the life of a Victorian actor/manager named Thomas [Tom] Russell. Dates 1841 - 1891. In the 1880s he is described as the lessee [or prop.] of the Victoria Theatre, Bury. This was one of several theatres in the north west which he owned or rented, and he also had a travelling theatre [Pavilion Theatre] with which he toured.
Any info. or refs. at all about the Victoria Theatre at this time, or about the Russell family [ his wife and children were also on the stage] would be very welcome. I am especially keen to find any images/ photos of Russell productions.
Thanks! Vicar6
