does anyone know where crow trees farm was, please. Robert Hampson was innkeeper at Jewell St in 1841, was that the Spread Eagle. He and his family were at Crow Trees in 1851, he died in 1853. Any information would be gratefully received. Thanks

Crow Trees
Robert Hampson bn 1791 farmer 36 acres 6 labourers bn Radcliffe

Located on the lineish of the old roman road/withins lane in Radcliffe over the BB canal below the modern withins res. The farm ws leased from Lord Wilton Heaton Park. Different tenant 1881. The farm is still occupied and looks 19th cent but is probably much older.
